Vegetables surprised me
I was a salad hater. Full stop. I grew up hearing that vegetables were boring, that greens were for sick people, that real food had flavor and texture. I had spent decades eating what tasted good, not what was good for me. That mindset followed me everywhere and Ozempic finally broke that cycle in a way I never expected.
Vegetables need to be your best friends when you are on this medication. They provide satiety without adding empty calories. You can eat a generous portion of broccoli or spinach and your body will feel satisfied without you having overdone it on total calories. This matters on Ozempic because you want every bite to count nutritionally.
I discovered that I genuinely like steamed broccoli with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and lemon. It is not glamorous, it is not exciting, but it works. Grilled zucchini with salt and pepper. Roasted cauliflower with turmeric. Sautéed spinach with garlic. These things became part of my regular rotation and I actually enjoy them now, not because I am pretending or forcing myself. Ozempic recalibrated my taste buds in a way I never thought possible and suddenly vegetables had flavor that I had been missing my whole life.
PeptPro's hydration tracking was also a revelation. I discovered I was drinking perhaps half the water my body actually needed. On Ozempic, hydration is not optional. Dehydration causes constipation, dizziness, fatigue that does not make sense. When I started getting reminders to drink water through the app, everything became easier. Within a few days I noticed a real difference in energy and mood.
